About the Position - iHeartRaves Email Marketing Specialist

The email marketing specialist will report to the Sr. Brand Manager and manage the email marketing strategy for our newsletter subscribers as well as homepage asset management, campaign updates, sales, and promotions for our e-commerce store. The specialist will work with our design team to create content and will be responsible for sending weekly emails to our subscribers and all reporting in regards to email marketing. You will also assist the iHeartRaves marketing team with other tasks including the iHeartRaves blog Studio 240, website positioning and product marketing, and assist the digital marketing team with projects to improve SEO.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Attend sales/promotion planning meetings and assists with scheduling newsletter campaigns and website updates pertaining to sales, promotions, product launches, and other marketing messages.
  • Build and manage internal email calendar to ensure that all requests are created, updated, and scheduled - as well as managing ad-hoc email requests
  • Submit asset requests to the graphic design team. Work with team to direct and create deliverables.
  • Schedule and deploy mailers, write subject lines, A/B test, and optimize our segmentation analysis to drive email performance.
  • Monitor email deliverability and QA campaigns to ensure accuracy.
  • Update reporting and meet with key stakeholders to discuss upcoming content and past email performance.
  • Understand our email audience acquisition, update all channels for growth, and contribute to marketing strategies to grow our customer base.
  • Evaluate branded content and choose creative images for mailer campaign and site banners.
  • Update site assets for sales, launches and promotions. Manage site marketing include countdown timers, promotional bars, pop email collection, etc.
  • Work with digital team to ensure all sales, collections and new products are optimized for SEO.
  • Worth with merchandise team to ensure all markdowns and sales are launched on time and landing pages are prepared for email and ad campaigns.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business, or communications
  • 1-3 Years experience with email marketing for an e-commerce brand
  • Knowledge of email marketing best practices
  • Knowledge of or experience with email marketing software such as MailChimp
  • Strong understanding of internet-based consumer behavior
  • Passion for rave fashion and music festivals

Preferred But Not Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with the Shopify e-commerce platform
  • Experience with e-commerce photo shoots and content creation
  • Blog management/SEO experience
  • Experience working with graphic designers and submitting design briefs for creative
  • Experience with customer database/analytical platforms such as Glew
